The Hockey programme at Clifton College caters for all, ranging from the elite in International Pathways to the development level and those playing for the love of the game.
At Clifton College we aim to develop all players regardless of level, alongside instilling a passion for hockey whilst supporting their academic studies.
Players are challenged with competitive fixtures and structured training environments, every team gets access to one of our excellent coaches (including 2 international players).
On any given Saturday we release players to play club hockey to ensure every player is challenged in the appropriate environment, and our fixtures remain competitive. Over the past two years we have had over 27 players represent the Girls 1st XI.
We are constantly building links with local clubs in the area, not only do we have links with Clifton Robinsons whose Ladies 1s, 2s and Men 1st XI play at Beggars Bush to provide Premier and national League access for our pupils in Prep and Upper School but also have players representing Bristol University, Redland and Firebrands at Senior Level.
The support I have received during my time at Clifton has given me the opportunity to achieve my full potential in Hockey. They have supported me on my England Hockey journey with individual technical work to develop on my personal targets, and strength and conditioning sessions to prepare me for the physical demands of playing at the international level. They have also managed my workload closely to ensure I keep on top of my academic studies.
