Term fees* from January 2025 for the 2024/25 academic year

Year 4 to 6Years 7 and 8

Flexi-Boarding (3 nights)£7,985£10,075
Day Pupil£6,405£8,400

*These fees include VAT from January 2025

The fees cover all the teaching that takes place in the ordinary course of education. The fee includes the provision of lunch for all students and all daily meals for those pupils who are boarding. In years 12 and 13 additional charges will be made for textbooks relative to the subjects being examined. Parents should anticipate supplemental charges associated with House, co-curricular and other activities, and specifically the cost of providing Learning Support and English as an additional language lessons if this is applicable. There will also be a charge in respect of Art and Design Technology for materials required. These charges will not apply to scholars in these subjects. Public examination fees, including re-marking and any other reasonable charges, will also be passed on to parents.

VAT on fees

In July the Government announced that it would be introducing VAT at a rate of 20% on school fees from January 2025. We wrote to all parents following that announcement and outlined the work the College was doing to understand the impact that this Government decision would have on the school. This modelling also took into account the loss of business rates relief which is currently 80% and which will cease entirely after 1st April 2025. Our financial modelling has shown that with our ability to reclaim VAT on certain costs from January along with other measures and savings we will implement, we will be able to mitigate some of the impact of VAT. As such, the amount parents are charged for the term will rise by 12% from January 2025. Preschool is exempt in the legislation from VAT. These changes have been shown in the fees indicated. Further information can be found in our letter to parents.
