Spectacular 1st XV team performance for Governor’s Cup

After a strong start to the season, and with a positive performance against Millfield, the historic Governor’s Cup match against Marlborough continued to test our 1st XV players with a home game on the Close.

The team was close to full strength and the performance showed the boys at their best, with the ball finding space and playing at speed to keep the opposition chasing in their attempts to stop the attack. In defence, the boys made it very difficult for the visitors to play their normal free flowing game with a strong and fast moving defensive line.

This was undoubtedly the team’s most consistent performance with the ball in hand, but there will be more challenges ahead as the fixture list continues to test the boys as the season progresses.
