Schools Triathlon Raises Over £79,000 for Supported Charities
This year, the Schools Triathlon hosted at Clifton College saw 888 children take part from local schools. All the participants had so much fun and the sun even came out for the occasion!
In teams of four, they swam, cycled and ran over 1,700km combined – the distance from Bristol to Barcelona. Incredibly the Schools Triathlon at Clifton College has already raised over £79k (with the entire eight event series currently at £359,753), with lots of fundraising still to come in. This is exceptional and will have a massive impact on Restless Development and the Schools Chosen Charities supported by the event.
The Clifton College grounds proved a perfect setting for the event and it was so uplifting seeing the children get into the spirit of the event and support each other with all the disciplines, as well as their amazing fundraising.
“I would like to thank all the staff that helped the event run so smoothly, and to extend a special thank you to our Year 12’s who volunteered their time on the day. They were a testament to our school and showed initiative and true commitment to support young people to take on a remarkable challenge, ensuring everyone felt supported and safe on the day.” Mr Mather, Deputy Head (Co-Curriculum)
