Pre-Prep enjoy borrowing books al-fresco

This academic year, in order to make sure our youngest children still have access to their wonderful Library, Mrs Denning has been running a mobile service. Each week a selection of Library books, specially chosen for each year group, has been taken to the classrooms so that the children can still browse and choose their own books to take home. Incredibly, our Pre-Prep and Nursery children borrowed over 1300 books in one term despite our Library not being able to open.

Now that we have hit the Summer term, we are delighted to say that the mobile library is now able to transform into an outdoor library. Last week we hosted our first sessions and it was wonderful to see the children so excited to have a larger selection of books, and to be able to relax in the sunshine with a new favourite story. It proved a big hit and we look forward to a term of safely sharing and borrowing books al-fresco.
