Josh prevails after injury at English Schools National Finals
Clifton College pupil Josh recently came 2nd at the English Schools National Finals for discuss. This was his first competition and throw since injuring himself for the 1st XV v Hartpury.
Josh has been selected to represent the English Schools International Track & Field Team, at the Schools International Athletics Board (SIAB) Track & Field Championship, in Denton 25th September.
Josh said, “I am pleased with the results as I was not sure how my shoulder injury would affect my throwing. I am excited to have earned my first England vest!”
Director of Sport, Andrew Wagstaff. said “I am so pleased Josh was able to compete at the finals as he had suffered a shoulder injury four weeks prior. He is a very talented athlete, with the potential to throw over 50m, and I am delighted he has the chance to compete for England with the aim to be UK Champion.
Josh has a drive and dedication to his training to succeed and I hope that he is able to throw to his full potential in September – Good Luck Josh!”
