IAPS U12 National Finals 2022

The IAPS U12 National Finals were hosted by Clifton College on Friday 2nd December at Beggar’s Bush.

It was a foggy start to the tournament, but spirits were high. A tricky first result in our group game, needed full team effort and spirit.

We bounced back with some excellent team hockey and ended up in the cup knockout rounds. We played Repton in the quarter finals, drawing after full time and golden goal. The match went to penalties, with Freya, Garance and Jemima all scoring, winning 3-2.

We then went on to beat Cranleigh 1-0 in the semi-final. The final against Downsend was a tough match, we took the lead 1-0 in the first few minutes, but the game narrowly got away from the team.

We finished top two in the country at the Nationals which was a huge achievement, by a fabulous team effort.

It was a really enjoyable event and well done to every team that took part!
