Harry Potter Day at Clifton College
Clifton College celebrated Harry Potter Day in fantastic style this year. From the start of the school day students were excitedly searching for Niffler gold hidden across the Upper School, which could be exchanged for chocolate and points towards their house total.
Morning break saw crafty students creating Mandrakes (screaming plant babies) in the library and the catering team pulled out all the stops to provide a Potter themed lunch that Molly Weasley would be proud of.
After filling up on treacle tarts topped with popping candy, finalists from Hallward’s, Holland’s, Moberly’s, North Town and Wiseman’s took part in an Escape Room competition, putting their logic and lateral thinking skills to the test. The Wiseman’s team were victorious and claimed a mountain of Hogwarts cookies for their whole house!
After a day full of excitement the festivities were drawn to a close with a screening of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them in the cosy, candlelit library.
