Girls Rugby Sevens Festival

On Sunday 26th February, Clifton College hosted the annual Girls Rugby Sevens Festival on The Close, with seven schools taking part.

With the experience and knowledge gained from the previous Millfield tournament, we saw a huge step up in performance and confidence from the Clifton players as we build towards the Rosslyn Park National sevens competition.

Both Clifton teams (U16 and U18) showed their attacking prowess with excellent runs epitomised by Jamie and Aspen for the U16s and Grace and Emily for the U18s, whilst we saw try-scoring ability from every Clifton player.

Defensively, we saw superb work from our smaller players throwing themselves into every contact, exemplified by Izzy and Isabell from the U16s and Kei, Megan and Tilly showing one hundred percent commitment to every challenge. With Hattie receiving the players player award from the U16 girls.

Many thanks to all the parents, staff and pupils that refereed, coached and supported those taking part on a great day for Clifton sport.
