English Language Centre Bristol becomes part of the newly formed Clifton College Education Group
Clifton College is delighted to announce that ELC Bristol has become part of the newly formed Clifton College Education Group. Founded in 1969, ELC was the first ever language school in Bristol and has since been consistently ranked as one of the top language schools in the country, educating over 40,000 students studying English as a foreign language.
ELC has worked with Clifton College for many years using facilities within the school for their students over the summer holidays. Likewise, ELC has also referred numerous international students to Clifton College.
Tim Greene, Head of College said “We are delighted to welcome ELC Bristol to the Clifton College community and very much look forward to the synergies that working together will bring to our ability to continue to attract and educate the very best students from across the world. We also look forward to the collaborative working with our staff and all that this will add to the education of our students.”
From July 2022, ELC will move into their newly refurbished building with purpose built classrooms and state-of-the-art facilities. The new building has the capacity for up to 180 students year round and is located within the vibrant and welcoming community of Clifton College. ELC students and staff will also benefit from access to the wider Clifton College facilities.
