Clifton College Careers UCAS discovery event
Clifton’s Year 12 recently went to a UCAS discovery event in Exeter, with hundreds of universities and post-18 options on display.
The building was buzzing with questions and students. Whether you had clear ambitions, or if you were just figuring out what’s available, this trip was an enlightening experience that helped narrow or broaden your ideas of what to do after Clifton – of which there are apparently so many options that a few students have rethought previous decisions and are now exploring alternative possibilities!
This event allowed students to understand what universities have to offer for them specifically, enabling personal discussions with university representatives about what their institution can provide, whether that be scholarships, sport opportunities or studying abroad.
Other topics ranged from student life, course outlines and extracurriculars – three Universities that I talked to had Taylor Swift societies! With a plethora of paths steering in different directions, Year 12 students have some important considerations to make as they progress through 2025, and as the UCAS day showed, there really is no shortage of options.
Thank you to Evelina for providing us with such a thorough summary of the trip and we hope it was insightful and inspiring for all!
