‘Best in Sustainability’ Category Winners – Enterprise Enrichment Programme
This year pupils in the Year 11 Enterprise Enrichment Programme have participated in Young Enterprise’s 10X Challenge where they were pledged £10 to start up their own business enterprise.
It has been a highly interactive and fun programme which has introduced pupils to enterprise and financial education, as well as enhancing key skills including communication, creativity and problem solving.
During the year, pupils had first-hand experience of becoming entrepreneurs – they sourced materials, managed finances, prepared sales pitches and planned and ran selling events. During the competition window there were weekly competitions and three of Clifton College teams reached the final for the ‘Best Sales Pitches’ – Team ‘Goat Totes’ which made sustainable, reusable bags; Team ‘Paper Pals’ which made jewellery and customisable post cards from recycled newspaper and Team ‘Colour Star’ which made AI generated colouring books. Team ‘Colour Star’ were also finalists in the ‘Best Overall Business’ category.
We would like to congratulate Michelle, Frankie, Rosie, Aimee, Zoe and Isobel from Team ‘Goat Totes’; Greta, Nicole, Laura, Sonia, Lea and Marie from Team ‘Paper Pals’ and Adam, Alberto and Damian from Team ‘Colour Star’ for their hard work and the entrepreneurial skills they displayed.
A special congratulations goes to Team ‘Paper Pals’ who were overall prize winners in the ‘Best in Sustainability’ category and to Lea who won ‘Most Inspiring Individual’. We are very proud of your achievements!
All winning teams will be celebrated in the Young Enterprise 10X Challenge virtual showcase on Wednesday 24th May 2:30pm – 3:00pm.
