A Moving Production of A Monster Calls
This beautiful and ethereal production directed by Emil was brought to life with focus and commitment from the cast who incorporated physical theatre and ensemble performance techniques to move seamlessly from the classroom and homelife of Connie into the mythical stories created by the monster who calls.
A special mention must go to Eve and Frida who performed the role of Connie in a split casting both bringing emotional weight and tenderness to a challenging role.
Support was most ably offered by Roman and Henry who brought the Monster to life with presence and vocal power in their performances. The rest of the cast of students taken from across Years 9, 10 and 12 all played multiple roles to create a performance which had a really profound impact on the audience showcasing the dramatic performance talent coming through the full age range at Clifton.
Congratulations to everyone involved on an incredible show.
