Senior Kadoorie Cup & Music In The Crypt 2022

Congratulations to all the sixth-formers involved with the Senior Instrumental and Vocal Kadoorie Cups competition, as well as the Music in the Crypt, this May. The Kadoorie competition saw music range in the vocal category from a Brahms’ ‘Feldeinsamkeit’ to the Welsh song ‘Calon Lan’, and instrumentally from Dvorak’s Violin Romance to Black Sabbath’s drum solo from ‘War pig’. Well done to Naomi and Nick for their performances of Liszt’s Liebestraum and Frank Sinatra ‘My way’ which were awarded the top prizes of the evening!

Meanwhile Music in the Crypt later in the month saw pop, rock, karaoke and indie groups gathering to perform numbers by Carly Rae Jepsen, Fleetwood Mac, and Hozier amongst many others.
