Simon Brewer
Simon Brewer is an OC (East Town 1970-81), graduated from the London School of Economics with a degree in Economic History, and subsequently took the advanced management programme at INSEAD, France. He also attended Buckingham University’s Military History programme.
He started his career at Citibank in 1985, where he trained as a portfolio manager, before joining Morgan Stanley in 1989. Over the 17 years he spent there, he managed their global balanced portfolio, was Chairman of their European Asset Allocation Committee and Chief Investment Officer. For the last 12 years he has been CEO and an owner of Vantage Investment Advisory Ltd. In addition he is a senior advisor to Rothschild and Co, in London, a Governor of Clifton College and a Trustee of their development trust, and served as a Trustee of Great Ormond Street Hospital. He is the Co- Founder of The MoneyMaze Podcast.
He has contributed articles and been featured in the Spanish, Italian, French and German newspapers and debated Brexit on France 24, the French news channel and live in Berlin. He also contributes letters to the Financial Times and Daily Telegraph. His speaking invitations have included addressing the bursars of Oxford and Cambridge Universities, financial conferences in Dubai and Tokyo and Sud Deutsche Zeitung’s annual business conference in Berlin (Germany’s leading newspaper), as well as Family Office and Charitable events.
Simon lives in London with his wife, Katie and their three children. He is a keen sportsman (and ageing competitor,) and fascinated with military history.
