Tax-Efficient Giving
As a registered Charity we can reclaim tax on all donations made by UK taxpayers. For every £100 donated we will receive an extra £25 at no extra cost to you. If you pay a higher rate tax, you can also claim the difference between the higher rate of tax 40 and/or 45% and the basic rate of 20% on the total gross value of your donation.
For example: If you donate £100, the total value of your donation is £125 – so you can claim back:
£25 – if you pay tax at 40% (£125 x 20%)
£31.25 – if you pay tax at 45% (£125 x 20%) plus (£125 x 5%)

Payroll Giving
This will allow you to give directly to us from your gross salary. These donations are not eligible for Gift Aid but gives immediate tax relief of up to 45% on the donation. Your employer has to register for scheme.
Matched Giving
Many companies will help charities through a matched giving scheme. Some will match pound for pound, and others will even double match donations made to registered charities by its employees. Ask your employer if they participate in this scheme.
Overseas Giving
United States taxpayers can make tax efficient donations via the Clifton College Development Trust Named Fund under the British Schools & University Foundation (BSUF). BSUF is an official charitable organisation and all gifts are fully tax deductible. The BSUF will send you the receipt you need for your tax return.
