Italian Musical Adventure
32 Upper School pupil musicians travelled to Venice, Verona and Lake Garda in July 2023 enjoying a fantastic programme of cultural excursions, fine food, and concert-giving including at the historic venues of Villa Widmann and Villa Grimani.
Residing and rehearsing at a historic Augustianian monastery, the group’s musical programme included choral, orchestral, chamber music items, duos and solos – ranging from Mozart and Shostakovich to Cynthia Erivo.
Day trips included a mask-making workshop in the Dorsoduro sestiere of Venice, visiting historic museums and churches, boat trips and outdoor swimming.
